Optional Accessories
HISAKA offers a variety of accessories depending on the application.
This section introduces some of the accessories that are available.
Pressure Gauges
These instruments are used to measure the pressure applied to the inlet and outlet of a heat exchanger. HISAKA only use calibrated pressure gauges. Install a pressure gauge to the inlet/outlet to determine the pressure loss inside the heat exchanger. Pressure loss can be used as an index of the degree of contamination. To mount a pressure gauge, install a seat on the pipe, or attach an end tube (or ring end tube) to the heat exchanger to install a seat.
- Bourdon tube pressure gauge
- Glycerin-filled diaphragm pressure gauge
Thermometers
These instruments are used to measure the temperature of the fluid flowing to the inlet and outlet of the heat exchanger. They are installed to check if the fluid is cold as specified by the design temperature. They can be mounted in the same way as a pressure gauge, by installing a seat on an end pipe (or ring end pipe) or installing a seat on a pipe.
Flanges
This is a general term for parts that protrude from cylindrical shapes or materials. They are used to connect the nozzles on heat exchangers to pipes.
Inner Strainers
Insert this accessory into the seawater side inlet of the heat exchanger to remove unwanted materials, dust, etc. from the seawater. When installing an inner strainer, install a nozzle that corresponds with the seawater side inlet of the E. frame, and then insert the strainer. This is a zig-zag lattice like punching metal inner strainer with a hole diameter of 2 to 3 mm. Specification of this accessory differs by each item; the diameter is determined by the model of the heat exchanger, and the length is determined by the number of plates in the heat exchanger.
