This is a glossary of terms that are found in
drawings and catalogs when using your HISAKA product.
DA gasket | Installed to the D-Plate port hole. (In some cases, it may be installed to the E-plate port hole.) |

Design pressure | Maximum working pressure of the equipment DP (Design Pressure) |

Design temperature | Maximum operating temperature of the equipment DT (Design Temperature) |

D gasket | Installed to the D-Plate port hole. (In some cases, it may be installed to the E-plate port hole.) |

Diagonal flow | Flow of fluid in a heat exchanger -> Trapezoidal flow |

Distance piece gasket | General term for the string gasket that fills the gasket groove (non-wetted area) of the D-Plate or E-Plate. | |
Distribution | Triangular area on a heat transfer plate that distributes fluids that flow in through the porthole to the heat transfer surface | |
Double-lined gasket plate (NX) | One of the heat exchangers in the HISAKA lineup. A unique feature is its double-lined gasket structure. | |
Double seal | Structure for preventing two fluid mixtures | |
DP | Design pressure | |
D plate | First heat transfer plate between the S, L, C, and E-Frame. | |
Drain pan | Tray that collects drops of fluid from heat transfer plates during operation or maintenance | |
Dual wall plate | Structure that layers two heat transfer plates to create a double structure, in order to prevent contamination by avoiding the mixing of two fluids, even if the heat transfer plates are damaged | Click here for details |
